Funny Girl Lucy Porter will star at DAFC’S second ever comedy night: August 11th 2012

Back by popular demand, DAFC are hosting a second Comedy Night on August 11th 2012 in our Kingdom Suite at East End Park.  Top billing goes to comedian and writer Lucy Porter, star of TV shows like ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Have I Got News For You’ fresh from her Edinburgh Fringe show that night;
TV heart throb and model James Redmond, who you may recognise from ‘Hollyoaks’ and ‘Casualty’, brings his slick and subtle brand of stand up to DAFC;
Up-and-coming comedian Andrew Watts, an ex-solicitor who has given up the legal world in exchange for the dark art of stand-up and has some famous fans including fellow comedians Ronni Ancona and Brendan Burns;
And finally, our compere for the night, Nik Coppin whose quick fire quirky brand of comedy has been compared to the likes of Eddie Izzard and Ross Noble.
It’s sure to be a great night and is great value for money too - at only £20 per person, including a delicious one course supper, the evening kicks off at 8pm in our Kingdom Suite.

Book soon to avoid disappointment!

Since 2001, Lucy Porter has been a huge hit with comedy audiences up and down the country with her distinctive, bouncy, feel-good comedy - she is currently on her third sell-out nationwide UK tour. She has continued to travel internationally with her stand-up – taking in the far East (including shows in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Macau and Manila), Switzerland and Paris. She was also invited to Miami to take part in NBC's 'Last Comic Standing' and has performed in the States for NBC and HBO at their Las Vegas Comedy Festival.

James Redmond is a dry, slick and subtle stand up who delivers unexpected twists and turns during his set as he deconstructs his art. He made his name as a model and actor and is best known for seminal roles in Hollyoaks and Casualty and presenting ‘SM:TV’ & ‘CD:UK’ alongside Cat Deeley. He has appeared on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Celebrity Come Dine With Me with fellow comedians Paul Foot & Joey Page, and is a regular guest and contributor on Soccer AM & Radio 5 Live.
